For the vast majority of people in the community of Carlisle, it may not be interesting to know about different cultures and ethnicities, but Multicultural Cumbria has a mission, which is to strive towards a society that can support the ethnic diversity and cohesion of the community while sustaining and sharing heritages, cultures, values, beliefs, and the multiple perspectives of people that come from different backgrounds and how coming from that background affects them in this society.
Carlisle’s community is full of people that are different and have different ethnic, Linguistic culture in their lives as in the city you can see that within this city there is a wealth of knowledge that is waiting to be learned as the more people from different backgrounds means that there is more to learn about the people in the minorities in the city as sometimes it can be daunting to be a minority due to the negative connotation that it can have inherently but with Carlisle its different as there are organisations that work towards this and want to have a more cohesive community and have a genuine and more compassionate goal of wanting to bring together people in Carlisle as this is what should be the goal of the people in Carlisle as we want everyone to feel welcomed and happy to live in such a culturally rich place where you can see the various people in the community being their authentic selves in public and being able to go around being happy about their heritage and their own culture.

Every culture has something similar to a magical lizard creature Westerners will describe it as a 'dragon' which may or may not be an accurate description within their myths. Anyway, the idea of a magical lizard creature is almost in every culture. If it's a menace to humans or helpful to humans doesn't matter. Dragons are a symbol that can unite diverse cultures in similar but different ways. The Chinese dragon in contrast to your stereotypical Western dragon is friendly and helps humans. It is considered the best sign on the Chinese zodiac and showcases humanity's creativity in the imagination of how such a creature would be in real life. It has similar colours to the Carlisle dragon which helps us unite in diversity. |
