We collaborated with Multicultural Cumbria.
In Carlisle there is one such organization that promotes the feeling of community in Carlisle more than any other and that is none other than Multicultural Cumbria as they have a Culture Bazaar which anyone and everyone who comes to it as a big variety of people go there to see the many cultures of different countries show itself in as this event is all about expressing ones culture and being a community as everyone comes from different backgrounds and the many people that come to this event love to witness it all and this year it was held at its own Carlisle College.
With this they had a Chinese Dragon performance and many other events in the venue and the sense of community is felt even down to the food as they provide a selection of dishes that come from diverse cultures. This event is one of the many things that can bring people from diverse backgrounds and occupations together and feel like a cohesive community.
This is one of many events that is held as the community of Carlisle gather at this event for fun and to experience other cultures while also interacting with the staff there, performers and many more people as these events show that people from different places and background can live in unison and can have fun and talk and laugh and take all the sights that is to see at that event.
Another one of the things that brings the community together is music which there is a Choir that welcomes everyone and anyone into their choir which through the songs that they sing people can come together and appreciate the voices of many people that come from different walks of life, this allows people to bond and appreciate people and where they come from as each person's background will be different and where they have come from matters to them which Carlisle has as in this small city there are so many different nationalities and cultures living within this area. With a place like Carlisle there is freedom to express themselves within a community that accepts them and gives help to anyone who may need it at any time as that is the meaning of a community. It's all about showing compassion to people and understanding others and showing that empathy towards people as a community can do that and help others even with small events and small things like giving back to the people in the community.
